Strong draft year and short season. It just feels like a good time to get some picks for him when the Flames aren't going to make any noise even if they somehow did magically make the playoffs this year. Combine that with the end of his contract making him a perfect rental for a contender. It just feels like the stars are aligning one last time to help the Flames get back to respectability and turn the 1976 64th pick that keeps on giving into another asset before its to late.
