There is nothing more that I want to see than the Flames and Iginla win a cup. At this point, I believe the reality is this is mutually exclusive and that both parties have the best shot at winning a cup sooner if they part ways.
I feel as though the problem is both parties are being generous with each other and neither is being selfish.

You have to wonder if maybe Iggy has given Warrener the okay to work the media and public to pressure the owners into finally doing what's right.
We know Iggy cares about his legacy here, he doesn't want to come out and say "trade me, I want to play for a contender". Iggy doesn't want to be the bad guy. The owners don't want to be the bad guy cause they are afraid it'll hurt their bottom line.
Someone needs to step up and do the right thing.
