Once again I don't want to get my expectations too high, but if Paul Gaustad is worth a 1st rounder, you would have to think Iginla is worth more (even if they play a different game).

Peter Forsberg was going into free agency in 2007 and look what Nashville was willing to give up for him; Upshall, Parent, a 1st, and a 3rd. Once again different players of course, but even then Forsberg was damaged goods. After playing 22 games for the Preds, Forsberg signed back in Colorado and played all of 11 more regular season games (and one playoff round).

At least Iginla is always healthy, and brings a solid veteran influence to any team that acquires him.

In conclusion maybe we should see what the Predators would offer for a stud like Iggy!
