Unless the playoffs are a sure thing or we're right in the thick of it I think the Flames would be foolish not to explore trade options. Even if he's struggling other teams know he's not exactly surrounded by the most elite supporting cast. He's had a winger as his primary centre for most of the season so far.
Plus Iginla as a rental has got to be appealing for some teams as well. Unless he totally tanks there's still some value there I think.
