It's not limited to Flames fans. It's common in all of sport. You could go to a Penguins forum and find the same attitudes there and they are only 3 points out of first in the east. It's just the way fandom is evolving and probably relates to the internet and how it's changed the way we are fans. In the old days, you could just cheer for your team. Now people put their opinions down in posts on a forum... And people hate being wrong, so they push the path that keeps their ego protected.
