No its more the fact that forwards are easier to project. Goalies and D man take much longer to develop and are more of a mystery in terms of the hockey IQ they have to develop. At one point people thought Hedman and Taveres was a tossup and that Phaneuf and Jbo would be stars in the league for yrs. Its just harder to predict how a dman will pan out imo no matter his physical skill set.
