Are you assuming the Flames have given him a blank cheque to sign and Iggy is holding off? The reason Iginla isn't signed is because the Flames likely aren't clear on what their path will be after this season and how much money they want to commit to an aging star that is past his prime. Make no mistake the Flames will not offer Iginla as much as he will get on the open market and if Iginla chooses to stay a Flame at a discount we will know all we need to on just how bad Iginla really wants to win a cup.
