Is Shane Doan a hot commodity? I seem to recall him commanding 7 million dollar contract offers this past summer.
If Iginla is traded, even as a rental he woul absolutely still garner a great return from the highest bidder. If this happens it will only be because we are clearly not in the mix at the deadline.
I would really hope that if he does leave as a rental that he is just that, and a contract extension is signed for him to play with the Flames after the playoffs
