They are two of the best in the league for sure, but you're right. I think it's a mixture of sound positional play and physicality that neutralizes the Sedins. The Blackhawks and Bruins have done this and shown ways to shut them down, surely the Flames have seen plenty of tape. The Flames aren't built for that grind it out/crash and bang style, honestly which defenceman on the Flames is built for that? Sarich? He is far too slow to keep up with the Sedins. Giordano might be, but he certainly isn't the way he has played since he signed the contract extension. For the past few seasons when these two teams play I always expect the Sedins to cycle down low and own the puck in the Flames zone, if they don't I'd probably consider that a fairly successful game.
