As for an unpopular opinion, I think all NHL players are amazing hockey players, and most AHL players are incredibly talented, and it frustrates me when people rag on players as if they're useless/untalented.
The NHL features the best hockey players in the world, and it's ridiculously difficult to make it to the NHL, and if you do, you're in a very small club (percentage wise) of elite hockey players.
So it's always kind of annoying to me when some of these guys have incredible talent and work ethic, beating out 98% of people who play hockey along the way to make it to the show, but then because they're on the fourth line, a bunch of internet guys go "meh, he's a 4th line scrub", as if he's garbage.
I fully understand that people are reffering to them as scrubs and replacable garbage only in comparison to other NHL players, and that most people understand how talented they are, but the wording and general attitude towards lower end NHL players still annoys me.
