Personally the reason why he'd be questionable on the top 4 is that his defensive game isn't good nor is his physical game and the Flames have enough good puck movers and offensive defensemen in the top 4, we don't need another one.
I would rather have somewhat more defensively responsible guys in the top 4 like either a Brodie or a Butler to go with Gio, Wideman or Bou.
He's not going to supplant our top three.
But then again it seems like Oiler fans and owners don't understand balance on the blueline.
