there's plenty of great screenwriters out there, let them come up with something really fresh an unexpected. we've already seen what happens when you rely on retreads of characters.

Agreed. Just say no to prequels. I would also rather see new characters than see old ones return. No one can make a better Han Solo than Ford so why ruin the character. I've always enjoyed the space combat of Star Wars so I would really love to see a trilogy focus on Wedge and Rogue Squadron as they fight what's left of the Empire. I'd also be totally onboard with an Old Republic movie or trilogy following Revan.
I wouldn't mind seeing a Boba Fett movie provided they A) Get rid of that stupid accent B) Don't make it an origin story. Maybe they could return Boba Fett to his original bad-ass self.
