I think these two incidents should result in the NHL taking a long look at having in game replay (review booth and the ref) confirm 5 minute major and match penalty calls (outside of fighting majors, of course).

With the speed of the game and the impact that hits now make that do snap the heads back even if the hit isn't to the head, even two refs can't keep up.

But when you're kicking a guy off the ice for the rest of the game and putting a team down for 1/4 of a period, and changing results, a "oops, sorry, wrong call" from the league the next day isn't enough, and I think those situations need to be double checked at the time of the incident.
