Great game tonight. The only time we saw the Flames do that chase-y, unconfident hockey was to start the 3rd. There were periods where Detroit turned it on and forechecked us for a while, but we still maintained composure. Confidence in the system is starting to come and I think the GA is going to remain low for the next little while.
It was fantastic to capitalize on some of our opportunities tonight.
Cervenka is struggling a bit. I think this started around the Colorado game. It's not particularly surprising and I'm thinking it's 100% off-ice stuff. I bet the culture shock for someone who speaks very little of the language is starting to set in. Let's not forget one month ago he was living on a different continent. Hopefully he can get adjusted.
This is a fun team to watch. I'm pulling for them and feel emotionally connected in a way I haven't in a long while. Probably since Darryl coached. I'm proud of them and the way they play and that makes all the difference.
