Looking for a mountain bike with some quality components on it to turn in a neighborhood commuter. I'm driving more than I should in the inner city and want something old enough that I can convert to a bit of an errand bike. Looking for:

- shimano or sram components of of sort would be a big plus deore, lx, xt
- 15 yr max vintage
- no grip shift rapid fire only
- need a size small/medium frame. 16" is ideal
- a Costco bike can be had for about $225 so $300 is about as much as I want to for something used.
