I'm not going to renew my optimism just because the team signs some mid-level free agents and gets a new coach. My assessment of the team is based on the last 300 games, not the last 6. Personally, I don't believe they'll turn things around until they draft a new, elite core. I'll be happy to be wrong, but the proof is in the pudding. In this case, 6 or 7 games above .500 would be acceptable proof.
