I'm going to disagree with you on one thing about Kulak though. If he gets traded, great, but if he doesn't it's not a huge loss especially when Donny Hay is the coach. He's heralded as one of the best developmental coaches in the CHL, so I'm okay with Kulak sticking in Vancouver, even if that means he's in a losing environment.
I guess it sort of brings us back to that question of "is it better for a player to be the best player on a poor team or the best player on a good team?"
I think it will be good for Kulak to be the go-to guy on defense for a rebuilding team with an excellent coach.
