I agree with you on that.
Short term, this was really, really fun.
Long term, this was really, really pathetic.
Long term matters more than short term though (or at least, it's ultimately what I choose to look at). During the game itself I had fun. Now that the game is over it doesn't matter anymore. Doesn't take away from the enjoyment I experienced during the game, and the team did put up a good show and had a great effort.
But it still comes down to one thing for me: long term, it simply wasn't good enough.
(Okay I know I'm repeating myself here - I'll stop now. It's just frustrating, and will remain frustrating until ownership/management realizes that the dream is over and actually starts doing something about it, i.e. trading Iginla.)
