I chalk it up to more then one reason. Chicago being tired is one but the Flames played well and never let off the gas pedal. Usually we'd have seen the flames tie it up and sit on the lead Hrudy mentioned we should have (iirc) done that. Flames played well, Hawks being tired isn't the sole reason for that.

If you look at my last post I've stated that I've been impressed with their effort all season and tonight is no different but the Hawks did nothing in that 3rd period but hang on which is why the Flames were allowed to take it to them. I simply think if the Hawks were fresh tonight we wouldn't have seen all those offensive opportunities in the game overall.
Remember everyone was saying the same good things about the shootout loss to the Canucks and three games later nothing really has changed as far as winning goes.
