Why do we make so many excuses for Iginla not scoring and being the most boring player on the ice but jump on Backlund. He had fire in his game today. Bench Iginla and give him time to pack his bags.

Iggy's been playing really well so far this season, but hasn't been able to score. He's been moving his feet, winning faceoffs, and getting chances, but they haven't been going in. He's been extremely unlucky to not have a few goals already.
Glencross on the other hand has been terrible. Floating around the ice, getting pushed off pucks, and a turnover machine. Sure he as 3 goals, but he hasn't been playing well. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten more flack for his play.
Backlund was playing well too. Not sure why people would be jumping on him today. He had a few good chances he couldn't bury. His line mates didn't exactly give him an option to pass on most of his chances either.
Gio looked fine to my eyes tonight. Didn't really have a problem with his game.
Kipper was extremely weak. I was disappointed he wasn't pulled. Irving couldn't really have done much worse.
