I agree with all that dream stuff, I tend to do great writing after weird dreams. I like weird dreams. When I had troubles with nightmares as a kid, I learned to control them as well.
However these dreams were different. It's not really like there is a 'protagonist' to confront or anything like that. Just feelings of dread, paranoia, reduced self worth, etc. However I do seem to be having to deal with increasing sleep apnea and sleep paralysis so there could be more to it.
I just found it didn't work very well for me and when I asked about it, I found my complaints were actually common. I wouldn't have thought that the 'dream' part would as I wouldn't think that which basically amounts to a supplement could affect your brain that deeply.
