The whole attitude surrounding those areas is so fake. There are plenty of examples of this. For example the attitude towards big chain stores in these communities is ridiculous. It's artificially imposed.
If you go to NYC or even the old districs of European cities do you think they have the same attitude? That everything should be mom & pop? Not at all. You see all types of conglomerates occupying the first floor of urban apartments. Only in places that didn't naturally develop into "urban" neighbourhoods do you see this type of attitude.
It's all fake. It's planned. It's a planned hipster HQ.
I mean if you really want that lifestyle thats great, but I'm of the
unpopular opinion that I can't stand being surrounded by that type of Pretentious enviroment.
