I was wondering when a thread bump was gong to be in order. I know theres been no news from the focus groups end, But there have been some pretty big editorials making a very strong case for the Saab Gripen. One strong point being made is the fact that Saab would allow the jets to be made here in Canada which would create more jobs. Add to that Saab gives out the source code to everyone who buys their jet. Another strong point was made is that buying 165 Saabs would still be far under budget and They can spend the rest of the money on the best weapons for the jets, and still have money left over to replace other aging aircraft in Canadas arsenal. Maybe the wrong thread to post this but I have been watching for any news on the subject.
