More than anything I was pointing out the flaw in his thinking. A more rational way of approaching it would be "It is unfair that servers are able to avoid paying taxes on their income. That increases the burden on other people like me who pay tax on all of their income."
You are right though- it would be nice if there was a system that made it less attractive for people to hide their income.
