A major problem I have with tips is that it's not a traceable form of income really, not unless you could only tip on credit cards and debit cards and had those receipts.

There is no way that 100% of all servers out there claim 100% of their tips as taxable income.

I still tip, but the fact that I'm paying you extra with my after-tax income so you can not declare it as taxable income is annoying.

I'd gladly pay 15%-20% extra for my food and drinks and not have to tip. It's not my job to subsidize crappy wages.
