That would be fine if convictions were always 100% right. Unfortunately it happens that people are wrongfully convicted of all sorts of things. And it can be even more possible when it is he said vs she said (not trying to downplay rapes at all or suggest most of them are false accusations.)
So I would ammend your statement to people who are convicted of multiple sex crimes.
