Growing up after hockey games I used to have a 26er at the parties that would follow the games. Likely had a drinking problem from 18-25. Now I can't stand hard liquor and only drink good beer after earning it through a long hike/bike/ski/run/swim. Tastes way better to me that way. Can't just sit on the couch like a slob and drink beer without doing something to earn it imo. Also the rate that I drink has slowed waaaay down also. Takes me 10-20 minutes to drink a beer vs 18-25 chugging back in 10-20 seconds. Average month I might have 6-12 beers and in the summer that can double or tripple depending how many hot nights we get to sit on the deck.
