I like to watch old movies and from them it seems that every generation thinks the previous one was "entitled". The new generation only sees the end result, not the struggle it took to achieve things. If you've worked hard all your life for a pension, social security or whatever, of course you would feel "entitled" to it. You put into it, and that's the bargain that was made.
I do feel bad for younger people in a way because although there seem to be so many more opportunities (if you are intelligent of course) there is also so much more competition. I've read lots of stuuff about kids in the States falling for the promises of for-profit universities who inflate job opportunities. I was kinda happy that the Art Institutes got into trouble. They have kids/parents convinced that there are millions of animation jobs just waiting to be filled.
