I actually don't drink beer too often. If I meet current/former co-workers for a drink after work, I usually have two or three. That happens about twice a month. Maybe once more each month I might have one or two.
I do consume wine & spirits much more frequently, but never to excess. I'd guess that I have alcohol about five days of the week. When I do, it is about two drinks. Maybe about once a year, I have enough that I feel slightly affected. (i.e. probably just over the legal limit to drive.) I can't remember the last time I was clearly drunk. It was probably about ten years ago.
I just finished up a Scotch & soda. I probably poured about three ounces, which would be considered two drinks. Yesterday, I had half a bottle of wine with supper (which would be 2.5 drinks).
For the amount that you are drinking, there wouldn't be too much to worry about other than the caloric intake. Your weekend drinking is probably working your liver a bit. You are over the recommended maximum for Canada (2 drinks per day - 12 oz of beer is considered one drink) You may find this site interesting:
