It sounds like your normal run of the mill floater, but it may be a good idea to get it checked out. Floaters are quite common, but rarely it could be a piece of retina or there could be some retinal traction (pulling on the retina). Alberta health care would cover you to go get it checked out by an Optometrist (assuming you are in Alberta).
