My thinking wrt goal celebrations is let your play speak for you. You just beat someone else, no need to overreact and rub it in more - they already don't feel good about it and if anything will only be fired up after seeing you act like a jackass. That said, it's not really anything to get worked up over. Didn't like the celebration, wouldn't have liked it if a flame player did it. Fist bumps and back to the bench is more my style.
Also don't agree with the argument that players who celebrate flamboyantly have more heart or more drive to win. Some guys just show more emotion than others it's as simple as that.
