I'd say the worst part about my job (where watches are concerned) is that I am at a desk, so there's a solid chance that any bracelet watches are going to have scuffs on the clasp and/or bracelet sooner rather than later.
My PAM and Hublot escape this by having leather and rubber straps, respectively. The Planet Ocean and the Sea-Dweller, on the other hand.
They're both brushed finish however, so I could use Pylon's technique on them without much issue. And neither of them worry me too much about wrecking the finish, my father's done this on his Omega SMP without any problems.
