A few years ago I was in the hospital for 2 weeks with pancreatitis. In those 2 weeks I was basically on a liquid diet. In 2 weeks (not 6 weeks like Ms Spence), I went from 260 lbs to 235 lbs.
You could definitely notice the weight loss.
