Take 90 and get onto 287 if you can. 287 is one of the nicest stretches of highway in the Western States IMO. Will pass Hebgen Lake, Quake Lake, Ennis all along the Madison River snaking throuh the Mountains/Foothills. When you say best stretch of highway from a view perspective this would be it but may not be the fastest route and will have to get off 287 at some point.
Also Rexburg is close by.....stop in at Bear World!
