Yeah, I've done the trip lots. That's why I said 4 hours return. And that's just to and from the border.
So from Calgary, the equivalent is driving to Edmonton....no... more like Fort Sask., or St. Albert in very heavy traffic, two or three rainy, slushy nights a week to take full advantage of season tickets.
Not sure how many lower mainlanders would jump all over that.

there are Oiler season ticket holders from GP, Fort Mac, Lloydminster that drive in for a large majority of games. Lots of people with money and nothing better to spend it on or work commitments to tie them down. How many ticket holders for Buffalo from TO? Longer drive between Van/Sea but still a border to deal with etc. The bigger question would be if the Thunderbirds have to move, or if the market will bare an NHL/WHL combo like the Canadian majors are running these days. If the Sonics come back too, there is only so much cash to go around.
