Was asked this question the other day when the other party saw my new jersey and I thought it was an interesting question to ask the rest of CP. Most materialistic purchases you can 'argue' with "it's enjoyable to have and use," "I like how these clothes look on me, " etc.

For a jersey and probably extending to other sports memorabilia, vague concepts like 'supporting the team,' 'showing your pride as a fan' come to mind.

So then, why do YOU buy a jersey(s)?
