Using different browsers doesn't work. If that was the case, deleting the cookies would work. It just appears to work, because while you are voting across all your browsers, some other people vote increasing the numbers.
If you want to make your votes count, you need to release/renew your IP address. I don't believe that the site will track your MAC address, but apparently it is definitely tracking your IP address since deleting cookies does NOT work.
For those with enough patience, releasing/renewing your IP address SHOULD work (as long as you delete cookies while you are at it).
