Agree to disagree then, to me 'fake' is 'synthesized' versus amplifying the actual engine sound that is there.
Important to note, the exhaust nor the turbos are amplified. It's just the noise of the engine that is getting amplified.
In any case, my car doesn't do it so I'm happy. And since I
do want a little more turbo noise in my cabin, I'm putting downpipes and an intake on my car.
