What is see is the inherit deficiency in the LCD technology and is not specific to Sharp. Getting a 240hz might help as it should have the fastest refresh rate. When you turn on any type of motion smoothing, you are relying on the TV to do the inter frame extrapolation for you. With sports, it might help but with movies, I say just left the smoothing to off.
