Not that I stand on one side of the fence or the other, but the Flames aren't really offering anything out of the goodness of their heart. They are just pricing their merchandise to maximize profits (like a business) and since the product logo they are selling (i.e. Flames jersey's) aren't at a all time popularity high, they are "discounting" it with the tag of "Thank you fans!" ... really, their "offering" is just getting fans to spend more money on an NHL product.
