The 993's as a whole have held their value extremely well comparative to the 996 that replaced it. The 996 was "mass" produced in Porsche terms and felt mass produced and somewhat cheap (particularly the interior). The 996/993 comparo is much like the 360/355 comparo. Ferrari built a ton of 360's compared to the 355 but lacked that certain character that the 355 had in droves, the 993 is the same compared to the 996.
993 Turbo's still command over $85K+ for real good examples (that is 997 Turbo territory). Sure cheaper ones can be had but there are not many around nor for sale. The 996 Turbo is one of the best bang for the buck used car's on the planet, heck you can find them under $30K south of the border. Perfect daily driver for Calgary (or fun summer toy) and they have proven to be extremely reliable not suffering the IMS problems inherent to the other M96 powered 996's due to it's GT1 derived engine.
