The 993 is a great, great car, I miss mine often (Guards Red On Cashmere). I would still love a twinner or C2S. They are comfortable, somewhat refined compared to 911's of yore but still exhibit all the goodness of air cooled 911's. The sound, the smell, all pure goodness !!
The 928 is another wonderful car, albeit a little tougher to maintain ($$$). For me it would be a 1992-1995 GTS or a 1990-91 GT.
