It's almost always London or Manchester or Frankfurt that sees the big drops in price. Sometimes Amsterdam or Glasgow, Scotland. On rare occasion, Paris.
Chances of a decent drop are definitely higher in September, after peak summer travel is over.
Will be interesting to see if Air Canada Rouge offers up any unusual prices from YYC this year (AC's attempt to enter the cheap leisure travel market to Europe).
On the major airlines, prices tend to remain pretty static to Europe. There has been some sub $1000 fares on KLM & Air France in the spring, nothing for summer/fall yet.

So for a 2nd half of September to early October trip you'd suggest waiting for Air Transat or Condor to drop their prices around late August early September?
