As for all other dogs, I'm not scared of them at all - I just don't like them.
You guys get so agro when I articulate why I don't like dogs, but the reality is I'm just putting into words why anybody who doesn't like dogs doesn't like them. The Internet is a safe place to do this because if you were personal friends I wouldn't want to hurt your feelings or create friction between us by saying these things but I hope you pause and consider some of your friends who you suspect don't like dogs. Try to keep your dog away from them if you can as they probably won't say anything as it is socially unacceptable to (see this thread for dozens of examples).
Also, I'm surprised that none of you can empathize at all with the position that walking an animal around that treats everywhere and anywhere as a toilet is gross. I understand that you are fine with that; why can't you understand that I'm not?
The fact that not one of you will concede that I've raised a single good point anywhere in this thread tells me you are more extreme/obtuse/unwavering/inflexible/closed to debate than I am.
As for your quote - it's not evidence of anything other than the writer is probably a dog person and spun the copy that way. It's not like it's based on any empirical evidence that "the vast majority are responsible and accountable."

If that's one of your big issues, you should hate cats way more than you dislike dogs. Way more cats sh** in other peoples yards(Your kids sandbox especially) than dogs do. Your kids have probably played with(eaten) more cat feces that dog.
Don't you own a cat? If you do it uses your house as a toilet, nevermind outside.
