I downloaded last years stats, and was looking at different formulas to weigh player performance, and it made me think of players who may be up for Buyouts. Now, I only have looked at players who played 41 games or more. Now, I am looking at this strictly from a stats point of view and not salary

#1 Tim Jackman
He played 75 Games last year, and tied Bouwmeester for lowest +/-, however, he also averaged 1.25 PIMs per game, compared to Boewmeester's more respectable 0.31. He also only averaged 0.09 Points per game compared to 0.35 Points per game for Jay.

He was the one that stood out. The only other one that stood out to me was:
#2 Tom Kostopoulos
He played 81 Games, and had a +/- of -15. By my weighted scale of PPG/PIMs Per Game he is 3rd lowest on the Team with only 0.15 Points per Game and 0.7 PIMs Per Game
But he is currently a free agent, but based on those stats, it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't get signed.

It was just something interesting I am looking at. I want to see if I can add salary into the spreadsheet and calculate a weighted value based on pay.
