If you are stopping in Cochrane, then Airdrie to cochrane via big hill springs road to hwy 22 is the quickest. But going to Canmore, stay on Stoney, go to hwy 1 then out to Canmore. Driving through Cochrane to hwy 1 can be slow. 4 sets of lights now, and old people who like to do 80km/hr along the 22.
