Oil end Canuck dreams

Series ends in four games, Oil advance to the Howe Quarter Finals for the third year in a row.

Martin Brodeur the best closer in the business allows only one goal in game four. Allowing only 10 all series. Martin Ended it with a .915 save%.

“Closing a series is an art” said first game star Karel Rachunek, who set up the game winner, series winner, and added the insurance goal at 19:22 of the second period. “With a two-goal lead going into the third, we felt if we played well behind our own blue line and gave Martin a chance to see everything. We had a good chance of going home with the series”.

The Oil scored their third SH goal of the series. And only their fourth PP goal of the series…. Hitting the back of the net was not a problem in this series as the oil out scored the Canucks 20 – 10. Chasing Biron from the net three out of the four games.

The Oil now sit back and enjoy the rest of the first round, where we will await our next victim.

Hats off to the Canucks who despite giving up 32 point diff in the regular season (Oil ranked 2, Canucks ranked 17), and having too many injuries to really get anything going in the playoffs……. Played a great series…… Congrats to the Canucks for getting into the post season,,,, and good luck on the Coast in the future.
