Maybe you won't look like a teller, but you will look like you forgot your jacket. I've never liked this look either. Looks incomplete. Reminds me of kids at a wedding dressed by mom. Or anyone at a wedding dressed by their wife. Throw on a navy jacket (if it fits), and your outfit will look great.
Or wear whatever you want, if you think you look good, you look good.
As an aside, my bank teller a week or two ago was wearing a blue shirt with plaid, upturned cuffs (like the one in the OP), and a matching tie in the same pattern. No jacket. Was actually pretty funny haha. Looked really bad though.
