I thought this was somewhat interesting as my family has Metis heritage. My brother and I never bothered to get our cards due to the lack of real benefit. Now we'll certainly be applying. I'm sure there's more then a few of us out there

I am and will not be applying.

I cant get them to pay for my school in the 80's

I have benefits at work

I have no children to think of

I do not live on a reserve nor do I collect a cheque on a reserve I have no real benefit from this.

I also wont be the guy who looks his nose down at the Indian's handouts and then put my hand out when it is good for me.

I am an educated Canadian who makes a nice living and I will contribute to this country not take from it when I can.
