Or when that occurs on an empty net, it is automatically counted as a goal. Not the case with what Suarez did, so why not do it? He's doing all he can to win. In hockey, with the empty net auto goal rule, your best bet is to try and psych him out, shove him a bit if you can catch up, and hope he Patrik Stefans the thing.
When it comes to Suarez, yes he dives and uses his hands. I'm not a fan of it, but I'll live with it, as it's packaged with the otherwise incredible way in which he plays. He has had a few goals lately where he could have just hit the deck but didn't, so hopefully in that light it's something he's trying to change and get used to.
When it comes to refs, if they don't clearly see something, and they assume it's a Suarez dive rather than a real foul, I don't blame them. However, if they DO clearly see it and it's a foul, then they shouldn't be letting it go because of their distaste for his tactics. If they're doing that, they are being just as unprofessional as him, and only helping fuel him to keep doing it, since he will feel that he doesn't get the calls even if they are warranted.
When it comes to football fans on this forum, I'm amused at how Liverpool bear the brunt of any and all ridicule, as if the teams that other posters support are groups of 11 honourable gentlemanly footballers, with the most respectable managers in the game. Because Chelsea's players are not racist and Manchester United don't have a manager who crosses lines while speaking of referees in interviews.
